For those not familiar his son was molested and he chased down the guy but shot the mans father instead who was driving the vehicle. shite sucks. Pedophiles can't be rehabilitated and need to be put down

received 1,283 days credit for time served.

So he only has to deal with 1.5yrs?

Terrible scenario all around

He's gotten credit for 3.5 years. He's likely eligible for release in a year, maybe less.

So the dad was the getaway driver for his pedo son? Or was it that he just happened to cross paths with the vehicle, recognized it, and the dad was driving it that day and a case of mistaken identity?

That would be an important distinction.

Son was driving, it was an 11 mile high speed chase, he shot multiple times. Pedo's parents were in the backseat, one got shot in arm. He was facing 10 felonies.

Also let’s talk about how dumb the pedo was for picking Cain Velasquez’s son

The most terrible situation will befall the dipshit who tries to 'test' Cain the yard....

In my opinion, this is a less exaggerated case of jury nullification than the Gary Plauche case.

Ultimately Velasquez will have 3.5 years in house arrest in his mansion and then probably less than a year in prison, where he will be released on good behavior because no one will frick with a Mexican American MMA champion who tried to avenge his son after he was molested by a pedophile.

He will then be a member of free society where no one will think of him as a villain.

All in all, this isn’t a bad outcome for Velazquez, and I have no problem with the sentence being too lax.

Maybe not. Gary Plauche was an average Joe.

With a good defense attorney, juries will be sympathetic to this type of behavior, especially if the person has no history of being a loose cannon or getting into fights with normal people.

But many average Joes will not be able to find a comparable defense attorney, I bet.

Or it’s at least more of a game of chance.

He should have been let go on time served then given 25 minutes in a room with the piece of shite that raped his child. Like Dustin poirier says, 25 minutes to make life fair

This happened in California I believe. Luckily the judge had sense. The DA was asking for 25-30 years

It's probably aggravated, in Louisiana that's 85% so that would be about 4 years 3 months. Unless the judge gave him flat time, Judge probably wouldn't give him flat time since he's never ?een in trouble. He'll be out soon

His child was a victim. He did nothing wrong.

Does he get the house arrest time? Or was that conditional bail? I know he did 9 months inside. Curious how they count time with an ankle monitor.

I think you missed the part where he shot the wrong guy. If he hit the pedo, I'd say you're right.
