TLDR the term conspiracy theorist is dead. As someone whose been called this before, after people read these files from JFK and the like, there's no way they could possibly believe that anymore. The bottom link has the conclusion.

And what happened?
I reserve "conspiracy theorist" for loons who believe the nearly fantastical, not that politician A colluded with politician B to ruin politician C. The term for me applies to those that thought JFKjr was actually alive and coming to save us, those that thought Sandy Hook was filled with crisis actors, those that that thought the Dominion servers had been raided and Trump was actually still president, etc. The real loons. Now I know many of them have jumped on the more plausible theories to try to notch a few victories but in their core beliefs, they are always wrong.

True but it is now and it's gotten way worse. I think the intelligent people are slowly leaving.

It is still a great news aggregator and has obviated the need for me to have social media.

Speaking of "conspiracies," ironically, some believe tweeter Eric Weinstein and his brother are both playing roles of controlled opposition.
The term "conspiracy theorist" will never be dead as long as the ongoing mass MK-driven mass psychoses continue to roll out. For these poor beaten down livestock, it's just much easier to just believe every illusion and lie.

Jake thinks an internet forum isn’t social media

Who pops up if instead of "the Earth is flat" someone brings up "partial birth abortion is fine", "euthanasia of those born with deformities is a good", "the Earth is a cube"?
