Anyone want to guess on the cost overruns. 20 billion to start the project. It’s estimated to be triple the cost the F-35 which is like 2 trillion or 1.8 trillion more that is was supposed to cost. Boeing is notorious for cost overruns. Each jet is supposed to be 300 million, I will guarantee you it will be double that and with Boeing probably closer to a billion a plane. How many drones can u pay with that.

So much for DOGE.

Oh and it will be obsolete within 5 years and I doubt Boeing will even get any built in that time.

I’d rather spend $15 Billion on a drone contract

Don't worry, we'll spend money on that too.

Yeah. That's how warfare works. You'd rather take the risk of falling behind our foreign enemies in armament capabilities?

When we occupied Iraq in 2003, IEDs were only munitions stuffed into concrete blocks. So we had everyone in Armored vehicles. Then it developed into EFPs. Then we went to composite armor. Then they got smarter with detonations which is several and we developed an answer for all. It's just a back and forth.

The only thing we learned as a nation with the F35 is that the MIC will get away with it again. It's absurd to give Boeing a contract for anything at all.

Boeing can't build a fricking paper airplane worth a frick right now. No way I'd award them a contract. Lockheed all the way

The jet will be delayed by a decade. You can absolutely lock that shite in.
Trump actually thinks this will get done by 2029. The new VC-25B’s were ordered over 7 years ago (fully built airplanes) and STILL are not finished. On target for 8 years of just doing the outfitting of these things.

Boeing is trash. All their innovative engineering talent has either retired or left for other jobs. The few that remain are hamstrung by bean counters.

35 will continue. The F-47 replaces the F-22.

Boeing has a new CEO who is an engineer, not a lawyer, stock broker, accountant or DEI head of human resources. Musk said he was a great choice. About time.

Just recoup the investments from Nancy Pelosi for the $15b drone contract.

Problem solved.

Boeing can’t build Air Force One on time and within budget.

Trump has complained about Boeing’s failure regarding delivery of new, now late Air Force One at least two times in press gaggles aboard outdated Air Force One in 2025.

WTF??

Over budget and behind schedule? Sure

But let’s not act like it isn’t a great platform.

It makes it even crazier considering they aren’t even building them from scratch. They had two brand new airplanes from a canceled contract with a Russian airline—and they still don’t have them done. Apparently still years away.
