We're renovating a bathroom and I need a heater that will really heat the room. We are doing a "wet room" design with plenty an open shower and tub. Suggestions?

How about one of those old fashioned gas ones? We had one when I was a kid. You don't have to worry about it getting wet.

Is there already a bath vent in the ceiling? We have an old Broan from the 1960s in an upstairs bath we haven't renovated yet, and it has the vent/light/heater combo. Really puts out some heat. The room isn't huge by any means, but it is in the center of the ceiling and warms the whole room up very fast.

Here's a link to a current model.

You could use existing ductwork if you already have a vent in there and just change the switch out to the one that comes with this.

In floor electrical heating. We just did it our bathroom before this winter. I ran it at 80 24/7. According to it's metering it cost me $6 a month to run.

I also have a in ceiling heater I got from Lowes to help blow warm air into the shower area.

Our bathroom is about 100sqft. Cost me about 1500 to put the floor heating in with install cost.

If feasible go with a baseboard heater and not a ceiling heater.

The heater on our Broan heater vent is quite good and has a directional vent you can set to blow the direction you want. Coupled with a heated floor, our bathroom is quite comfortable.

Looks like this:

I put one of these in our pool house shower/changing room and it was one of the best things I did in that build.
