California is already somehow 43-9 D to R. They will find some way to make it 43-6.

What is this same type of date for the House? I’d like to see where that will be in the future as well.
Especially with the crackdown on illegal immigration and deportation/self deportation how that plays with the census data.

So is a fair way of looking at this something like: if this map had been in place in 2024, Trump would have needed 1 or 2 less swing states to win?

Totally depends on how each state redraws their congressional districts in 2030

The census counters will undercount red states like they did in 2020 and the GOPe will do nothing about it, again.

Based on 2024, here is the difference. Remember, Trump won all 7 swing states and 312 EVs.
Harris States:
CA -3
NY -2
OR -1
MN -1
IL -1
RI -1
Dems lose 9 votes
Trump States:
TX +4
FL +4
ID +1
UT +1
AZ +1
WI -1
PA -1
Reps gain 9 votes.
So, using the 7 swing states of GA, AZ, NC, PA, MI, WI and NV, the Republican in 2028 could lose MI, WI and PA and NV and win the presidency.

The US Census Bureau will screw up the count and not "discover" the accounting errors until after reapportionment (Whoopsie!) just like they did in 2020. CA and NY are presently overrepresented, while FL and TX are shorted some congressional seats (a few other states were impacted, also). Funny how these errors always benefit Democrats.

If they only counted citizens it would be far worse for the democrats.
