Cam over center? Right. Heard before.

They always say he's going to change positions, move inside and/or take a back seat. But we all know he will be coming off the edge scaring nobody next year just like the last few years. We gonna keep him forever and forever!

I mean we have a staff now that has no real connection to these players. So if they want him to switch positions, he'll do it.
I kinda do think Cam has hit that realization though he ain't that guy anymore. We'll see

Cam has openly said how he’s agrees that he’s now a backup and he’s willing to move inside and outside if needed. He’s one guy that deserves to retire a lifetime Saint and we could do a lot worse than him as our #3 DE.

Situational player on a pitch count.

Cam only played 48% of the snaps last year and he didn’t start many games at all. Granderson and Young were the starters a DE. Cam played a lot of DT next to Breese on passing downs.
Did you watch any of the games last year?

He said that last year too

Look at who posted it. It’s a troll that comes in and starts multiple threads with the sole intention to bash Cam.

Its too much of a love fest with Saints instead of making business decisions 15 years on DL? That vaunted Saints defense! Whatever. They don't scare anybody

We are moving to a 3-4. He isn’t a nose tackle nor should he be. He will play a 3-4 defensive end which he is well suited for with his size.

Cam came from a 3-4 in college at CAL so he can play wherever. He’s one of the more cerebral DL in the game. People are making too big a deal about if we are 3-4 or 4-3 when you play out of your nickel package the majority of the time. I hope we can find a good nickel corner somewhere in the middle of the draft. If we can’t find a good trade down offer (we won’t because, Loomis) then I hope our pick at #9 is on the offensive or defensive lines. The only exception would be if McMillan or Warren were still there because the offense needs playmakers and Moore runs a lot of 2 TE sets in his offense. If we got Warren and he as well as Juwan had good years next year then all of a sudden Juwan’s contract doesn’t feel like more salary cap hell but instead it could be an attractive trade piece for a team looking for a starting TE at just $10 mil a year could bring back a solid draft pick in return.

Has anyone actually come out and said this?

Only thing that anyone can say bad about Cam is he is too loyal. Him openly wanting to retire a Saint secures his all time great status, but he deserves to get traded to a contender to get a ring.

He's 2nd 3rd string and he knows it.
He also knows no one is trading for him.
Classy guy running out his string.

Ita just a money grab. Any other team would've gotten rid of him years ago

Only thing I saw was the DC say he fits his scheme around his players, not force them into a scheme.

Keeping loving your Saints. Pathetic

Why are you on a Saints board dickhead? You don't like em then disappear.

Cam's done. He wouldn't be on this team if not for the cap due if he were cut.
If he were cut, he wouldn't make another roster.

Seriously? He might not be a starter, but someone would sign him for sure. He’s a great veteran presence, has been an Ironman on an oft injured team, and on 200 less snaps had more tackles and only 2.5 less sacks than Chase Young who we just signed.
(And yeah yeah yeah, Young gets pressures. That just means he can’t finish and QBs have too much time which means WRs have more time to get open. But Cam did get 30 pressures last year if we want to use that metric.)
If I was the Rams or Lions, I’d bring him in in a minute to mentor my young DEs and be quality depth.
