Even if it is a real picture, I’d be all about taking off and getting the frick away from that tornado rather than sitting there and getting hit by a tornado inside of a plane.

It’s not a fake photo, and that’s not a tornado. That’s a rain band. Tornadoes do not curve near the ground

I was on this flight and have the Flight Aware data saved. This was a total disregard for passenger safety by the Southwest pilots. We were forced to land in TPA due to the injuries.

What does the Flight Aware data show?

Genuinely curious, not being a smartass

That'd be cool as hell if it were real.

And pants-shitting inducing.

thank you for that expert opinion , 1000% willing to bet the fasten seatbelt sign was on and PAs had been made to get your arse in your seat and strap in, but alas, most people, including a lot that post on here, think that "rules are for thee, not for me"

You would lose that bet. The fasten seatbelt sign was on, but flight attendants and passengers were not seated, hence the severe injuries. The pilots did not request the flight attendants to be seated before the incident.

What I thought was surprising was the other planes on Flight aware in our area were going around the storm cell, we turned right into it. Our projected flight path was shown to avoid the storm all together.

yep

were not seated,

very juvenile thinking by passengers, "they're not seated, why should I be seated?" they don't always do what they're supposed to do but they do have duties to do, your duty is to sit your arse down when told to do so, simple as that

again, thank you your your expert testimony, you may now step down
