How far will Milam go in the mlb?

It’s easy to want to compare him to Altuve. But other than being short and playing the same positions they are very different. Obviously milam is a very good switch hitter. After what I’ve seen so far milam is VERY impressive on defense. And after a short amount of time we’re learning this year he’s got even more pop in his bat! He’s very quickly becoming one of my favorite players at lsu ever! He looks to be on a mission.

He’s already up there with all time favorites for me. Love watching the monster play. So far this is just a fun team all around to watch. They can score runs in so many ways other than just the HR ball like we are used to.

Warning track outs in MLB if he was there now but he isn’t. I think he will get stronger and I could see him getting to triple A maybe the show. He has the bat speed. The transition is really really hard.

He’s got positional versatility, doesn’t strike out much and has some pop. The MLB will love him.
In terms of an MLB comparison, he reminds me of Rafael Furcal. Not as fast as Furcal, but more pop. The easy answer is to compare him to Altuve, but their offensive profiles are similar.

Most people don't fully understand how good you have to be to play major league baseball. Think back on some of the all-time LSU greats and consider how many of them didn't sniff at a MLB roster.

Serious question: Does he definitely make it to the big leagues? Starter?

Do any of you watch the short, emphasis on “short” clip of Tigers in the MLB shown every single game?
Do you know how many great baseball players we’ve had here over the last 20 years?
Not many of them playing in MLB.
It is incredibly difficult to make MLB, much less stay in MLB, much less be a star in MLB.

Exactly. There have been some really talented guys who come through, big draft risks out of HS, key contributors at LSU, stand out on the field even in SEC play, and then they never make it past AA.

Impossible to even speculate. So many things factor in. Just enjoy watching him play and see what happens because he’s a good one
