Louisiana Has the Highest Sales Tax in US

I saw this earlier today and was absolutely shocked. Would expect it to be California, New York or Illinois.

If there is a state government that needs a DOGE overhaul, it is Louisiana's. You could cut down the size and spending of our state government and then correspondingly lower state taxes for all taxpayers.

I wish we could just have fed/state sales tax. That way the states or stores can deal with sending money to the feds.

Sales tax funds also go to schools and fund teacher pay. You should look it up

Because historically we are one of the most politically corrupt states. Hopefully Gov Landry follows Florida's lead cutting taxes, but I won't hold my breath.
