Searched and found a thread from a few years ago with a handful of recommendations. Seemed like smiling dog wasn’t a good place (since Londoner closed) and Pelican to Mars was ok? Any new insights? Gonna go with my brother to watch some games on Saturday since parade is cancelled

Doesn’t matter. I know a lot of games are on Peacock. So just looking for places in general that open mid morning on Saturday

Pelican is about the only place anymore

Smiling dog stopped showing games no matter what time. Last week they had a drag brunch

We used to have a proper soccer bar

May have to go down to Finns

Groan. It does matter. Most normie sports bars won't turn off the BS music to air the match commentary even when there is almost nobody else there. If you're not going somewhere to have a bunch of fans that intensely dislike your club jeering and carrying on, I'm not sure what point there is in going out to watch it. And a lot of bars don't have Paramount+ for those matches.

I figured it would be tough in a place like BR to find something quality. Disappointing that there isn’t really anywhere that could make in a niche deal and attract some people

The way to approach it (at least at the individual club level) is to approach a manager and ask if they'd be willing to host a fan club on Sunday mornings. As long as they're not a heavy brunch spot, a lot of bar/sports bar managers will see the opportunity to have 10-15 people show up when there is normally nobody there and order 20-30 drinks. It's what the Spurs club did in my suburb of Houston.

It's a battle we have in the burbs; is the place ten minutes away with the 30' TV screen going to put the sound on for us miscreants for the Carabao cup on Sunday, or will it be mimosa friendly techno? We won't know until we get there. These places should know better, but a lot of them refuse to listen. World of Beer was wall to wall packed on a Sunday morning for the World Cup final, and I begged them to do an EPL morning on Saturdays and/or Sundays to capture the crowd, and they never did. Rinse, repeat at one location after another. Now World of Beer in Katy is closed.

Try one of the several local breweries around town.

Haven’t lived in BR in years but Ivar’s historically is an option.

Im going with no, it doesnt matter.

If the game is on NBC at 730 am and the place isn't open, then it doesn't matter what channel it's on.

No pl games are on paramount plus btw.

You need a place that purposefully opens early.

Varsity did this for a little while. But that was the particular manager was an epl fan and would open early for the games.

Finns in nola wouldn't be considered a soccer bar if they weren't open early to show the soccer games, hell they don'tt even show later sunday games in the fall, they show the saints.

I would reach out to Agile on Airline. Owner has played soccer all his life, still runs around in the BRSC adult leagues.

They officially open at 11 but maybe he would be willing to open early for a set head count/spend
