Because we aren't cripple. We are still signing players and making all the moves we want to make.

This cap hell thing has been blown way out of proportion.

Sure Carr sucks and has a bad contract but this isn't the NBA.

Except for the part where we’ve been sucking and will continue to suck with no way out

We were 12-4 in 2020 and 9-8 in 2021. Sure, the past 2-3 years have sucked, but every franchise goes through lows. We just had our golden era of Saints football, so it's hard to experience this, but this is part of the course for every team.

No team is good forever.

Yes BUT… the next time we’re a contender Carr won’t be the QB and some need to realize that. Only then will we move on

Do you think we should be a great team every year? Give me an example of any team that has achieved that.

We will move on. I hate Carr just as much as the next man, but you can't be emotional about it.

I dare you to go to the rant and say that about LSU

The other day we restructured his contract so we didn’t

College football is different. LSU should be at least competing every year

We had to, it was the only move that made financial sense. Unless Carr has an amazing year, this will be his last year in NO.

Mainly posting here so I can come back and watch later, don't have time right now for a 17-minute video.

But I will say this about Carr's contract. As bleak as things have looked, especially this offseason; there is a possibility of a light at the end of the tunnel. His cap hit for 2026 is set to be $69.2M, but cutting him before the new year drops that figure to $59.7M. They could also designate him a post 6/01 cut and push $40.5M to 2027 on 6/2/26. So whether they cut him next year, or they let him ride until the contract is done; you have to imagine he is off the books after 2027 at the latest.

It's a small light, but it's out there

Carr gives us a floor of 4 wins and a ceiling of 7. In no world does that make financial or football sense

By restructuring existing deals to kick the can down the road again, just like Loomis has been doing to put us in the salary cap tight spot to begin with

The mental gymnastics this fanbase does every off-season to convince themselves that things "aren't that bad" is truly impressive. We are the worst run franchise in the league from a roster and cap perspective, the entire fanbase knows this, but 60% of yall convince yourselves that things aren't that bad. Every off-season, like clockwork.

Carr sucks. Loomis sucks. We're gonna continue to be a bottom tier franchise as long as Loomis is calling the shots.

It’s the opposite, it’s much worse than people realize.

Mascona is an idiot. I heard him the other day ranting about Carrs contract and the cap hit being so huge.

I guess his dumass doesn’t realize that if Micky didn’t roll last years salary into this year and so on, his salary really isn’t that bad.

33 a year isn’t that much for a qb. It’s that Mickey keeps compounding it b/c of the other crappy deals he did years ago and rolling them forward.

Carr and his salary isn’t the problem.
Loomis is the problem. And what he thinks he is doing is the right way.

We just gave our backup TE 10 a year and he’s crying b/c Carr is making 33.5 and killing our team? What a joke.
