I decided to watch American Idol for the first time in many years. I always had a problem with their women liberal judges. I couldn’t stand JLo, Katy Perry annoyed me, etc

However, since I heard that Carrie underwood was a new judge I decided to check it out and I actually enjoyed it. I think Carrie Underwood is a great addition to the show.

Happy to be watching AI again!

The point of my story is that it is now refreshing to be able to watch a major mainstream show and it not being woke and filled with hate TDS like AI was becoming over the past few years.

If you feel that way then it's how you feel and I understand that, but I have never found American Idol to feel woke. If so, I wouldn't watch.

I am not a fan of JLo, but Katy Perry was my favorite. She's hilarious and also sincerely sweet on there. Only time she came close to being political was when she got emotional about a school shooting student being on there. She cried and said it needs to stop and how it's not okay, but she didn't call for any actual political changes that I recall.

I can admit there are probably some people whose stance on politics might prevent me from watching, but for the most part I can let that go if they are good at what they do and it's not in the show.

I still think it's cool you are watching again. I really enjoy watching the show, because of the journey. Last season and the year Laine Hardy won are some of my favorite recent seasons.

Hell most of the people they have on the show already have decent sized social media followings.

They sent Drayton Farley an email a few weeks ago asking if he wanted to come try out right before he opened for Willie Nelson.

It wasn’t the actual show… it was how they acted outside of the show.

This is a fair point.

The Carrie's,Kelly Clarkson's, Jennifer Hudson's are truly a thing of the past now.

Best judge outside of Cowell. She was awesome.

And she really let her personality come out. Someone you could sit and have a beer with. And gorgeous.
