Sister of Vanessa Guillen to run against Rep. Al Green for seat in U.S. House after ‘disrespect’ during Trump’s address

quote:

Mayra Guillen, the sister of slain U.S. Army soldier Vanessa Guillen, announced plans to run against Rep. Al Green for his seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in response to his interruptions of President Donald Trump’s joint address to Congress last week. Guillen announced her intentions on X last week.

Not only is she a babe, but she has Trump’s support.

However, the district caveman reps are not the brightest of bulbs. She’s going to have to improve her messaging though to stand a shot against a career politician.

I can’t blame ppl staying away from trying to take some of these districts over. The constituents have to be terrible to elect a person like Al Green.

I thought this was going to be Valentina Gomez challenging Eye Patch McCain.

There's no shot. That district was drawn to be heavy Democrat, which in turn helps create more Republican districts.

Does anyone know off hand if Al Green has ever written or cowritten any type of legislation while he has served in Congress?

If history is a guide, a homo sapien should outcompete a homo neanderthalensis.

Do you remember that Al Green is my congressman now? Thanks to our Republican legislature deciding to just abandon CD7 and drop us off in 9. Dropped my neighborhood into Dem SD and state rep districts too. I suppose that's mostly to blame on transplants moving into my hood and bringing their out-of-state Democrat ways with them.

And I don't think that fricker has ever set foot in this end of his district either, because we ain't his people.

He’s probably pretty good at drafting articles of impeachment by now

They're all "just re-elected". The House members all have to run every 2 years. He'll come up again in '26. Senators are elected for 6 year terms. House members are elected for 2 year terms

He is the embodiment of his district. Loud, obnoxious black people with a victim mindset.

A "babe" if you consider average looking women with mustaches attractive. A 4.5 if you're drunk at best. She should put the mask back on.

Visiting Steve Cohen's district explains a lot.
