Just how bad is it?

The messages coming out now on the multiple cases of government graft make we wonder if this is not a much worse government than the colonists had to deal with before they started the revolution.

98% of folks in Washington the last 75 years would have been executed in centuries past for a mere fraction of what's been stolen.

By scale yes, but a revolution is a tad different so can't compare.

We have been tolerant of this for so long because the swamp has had interference run for it in the form of MSM, lobbyists, contractors, big corporations, etc. for decades.

Our founding fathers weren't just motivated by treatment from the King. They were students of history. They all realized that the natural state of govt is to grow its power. That's why our Constitution put limits on govt far beyond anything before it.
