Vandy being 119 is ridiculous.

Def behind Michigan, Notre Dame, USC, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Miami, Alabama. Maybe behind FSU and UF

It'd be nice if they weighted the recent decades a little.

I guess top 10 is more accurate:
Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee, USC, Nebraska, Penn State, Miami and Alabama are the only schools that immediately come to mind that have a truly legit argument for being ahead of us. Can't see us being behind all of them.

Yes. If you click on that first link in the article, it gives the scoring system.

I think we crack the top 10 because of this past decade...no higher than #8 or #9.
Anybody wanna know what the true national perception of LSU is in the grander scheme of things? Watch this piece.
No matter where we land, we're still pretty effing good.

Prestige Ranking Formula
Here's the point system.
Minus 2 points for a losing season might skew things at the bottom, but it seems like a good system for determining the top dogs.
Oh, and this might rile a few people up:

National title: 25 points
The full 25 points were awarded to any team that won one of the two major poll titles (AP, UPI or coaches) that season. No season had more than two title winners.

I think becasue of recent history, we're ahead of Tenn. and Penn State...maybe Miami. Every other school you named will be ahead of us.

Interested to see where both LSU and NU end up.
