ACC has given in to letting Clemson and FSU leave for less money AND will give them more money in the short term? Absolutely terrible lawyers on payroll there

Just go with east and west mega conferences at this point.

There was no way the original agreement was going to win out so they had to give some ground

ACC doesn’t really have any leverage….that conference’s days are numbered and they know it

I remember when this grant or rights was seen as something awesome and may stabilize college football.

What a joke.

It likely doesn't matter. Just look at NIL, it made decades of agreements not mean anything.

Contracts are legal and enforceable until something changes the dynamics, then you have to look beyond the words on the page at times.

This was never going to work with the way CFB has changed the last 5 years. If you get that in front of a judge it likely falls apart.

This is probably like when the Big12 caved in to all of Texas's demands to keep them from leaving.

And then they eventually left anyway.

Imagine if we used that logic to trash the Constitution

I mean it was written for a nation where the only voters were landowning white men

No doubt. Question is this, do the SEC or BIG actually add them? Or does the whole thing blow up into one of the super league models?

Either way, it's good, because they get more money to compete in the present. But I'm curious if they ever actually get into the SEC or BIG as we know it.

What do you think all the amendments to the constitution are?

We did trash the constitution 27 times (17 if you don't count the bill of rights) because it was outdated and had to be amended and changed

Welp. It looks like the ACC is about to go the way of the Pac-12. This is absolutely tragic.

Still searching for what Miami brings to a conference.

Those half full crowds at Hard Rock Stadium, which is way off campus, screams college football.

And while I’m searching, Miami is still searching for their first ACC championship.

I agree but they'll find a place at the table when everything shakes out

Then from there we can create 12-14 team divisions. We could call one the Sout East Division, one could be the Atlantic Coast Division, Pacific Coast Division etc.. oh wait never mind.
