Are there any good shows worth seeing? Preferably something fun and entertaining, and hopefully not political.
Was going to be in NYC with wife over the weekend and wanted to have a few things lined up.

Lion King, if you haven't already seen it.

The Outsiders and Great Gatsby were both outstanding

Hamilton and Wicked are both great.
Potential trigger warnings:
- Hamilton has all black dudes playing white historical figures and there's a lot of rapping
- I saw Wicked back when Ana Gasteyer played Elphaba and Glinda was a white girl too; cast is likely mostly black folks now

Hadestown
Has a ton of layers: mythological, romantic, religious, social, political. Doesn’t matter your political pov; aspects of the show align with differing beliefs. You can ignore the political messages and enjoy watching the show through another lens. It’s brilliant, frankly.
A friend of mine just saw Death Becomes Her and said they did a really good job adapting it.
Audra McDonald in Gypsy could be a real treat.
Glengarry Glen Ross (play) has a loaded all star cast.

We are seeing Lion King tonight. I’m hoping to catch a second show at a discount
