Centipede Sod laid Nov 1st, what next?

I laid Centipede sod November 1. It took well and greened up before going dormant. I’m starting to get a few weeds pop up in the seams. Should I be doing any pre-emergent or weed and feed?

Maybe just me but I would not feel comfortable putting any type of herbicide on sod that was laid in November. I'd hand pull any weeds that are bothering you, and just mentally put up with the rest. Remember weeds really stick out when the grass is dormant because weeds are green and grass is brown. This issue goes away once you're greened up.

Weeds don’t just go away…
Celsius would take care of your weed issues.
Prodiamine for future weed prevention.

no pre emerge for a year. Just spot spray or pull

I meant the jarring contrast of a green weed up against the brown background of brown turf will go away. But anyways, most weeds do just go away. Annual weeds last for a season and then die. You can prevent them with pre-emergent the next year.
I am by no means a turf expert but no way in hell I would spray Celsius in March on top of centipede sod laid in November.

Quick, you still have time to take it all up and go with something else.

Personally, I would probably just take something like a string trimmer and clip the weeds for now.

Centipede does have its pro’s, it grows slowly so if you don’t like mowing then that’s good. It also hides weeds better than Bermuda and zoysia, so once it greens up then you won’t notice the weeds as much.
Centipede is perfect for the busy (or lazy) homeowner. You just have to replace it every few years when it dies. Or don’t replace it and have a yard that is 90% weeds.

Go to the www.thelawncarenut.com and just get the warm season guide. Follow that and you’ll be good!

Wait till Fall to begin a bi-annual pre emerge schedule.

Never do weed and feed
Especially because all of them have too much nitrogen for centipede
Right now just spray those weeds with image for southern lawns
Also put down like a 0-0-40 fert. Centipede loves potassium

Then it’s awful for a lazy homeowner if you are dumping money to constantly resod
Centipede actually takes a ton of work. But when it looks popping, it looks fantastic.
You can tell big time who takes care of their centipede lawns.
