I can't believe that there was a time when people actually thought this nonsense was real

I went to a couple, I had no illusions that it was real. It was considered fake when I was a kid in the late 1960s. It's entertainment, like going to a movie or a concert.

Anyone with a brain knew it was a work. It was still entertaining.
And it was really entertaining when you had people who worked stiff and actually beat the s**t out of each other even if the outcome of the match was scripted.

That was way, way more entertaining than this year Super Bowl and people were paying like 10K a ticket for it.

I can understand people paying for a ticket for this.
But not to watch Dusty Rhodes prance around like he was light in the loafers.
That shite was just ghey

So you must only watch documentaries.
Can't watch any movies or television shows because you know that's also fake.

It is real in the sense it is performance art that is dangerous

iirc, that second fall wasn't supposed to happen. They had used zip ties to attach the sections, and several had popped from the weight of them walking around. When he got chokeslammed the rest gave way.
Thats the thing with wrestling, it's scripted and they learn how to mitigate pain and danger, but its not truly "fake". They beat the absolute shite out of each other.

Here's a midget in a monkey costume getting drop kicked into outer space. This is better than anything the NBA has done in 30 years.
