Was it just me or did anyone else find it obsurd that they were blaring CCR, Matchbox 20, and Kid Rock while they were attending to a possiblt seriously injured Willis McGahee? I thought it was completely classless and don't recall ever seeing anything like that.

A cheap shot too IMO.

I don't think it was a cheap shot. He lead with his shoulder.

To me it looked like he had his head down and made contact with the crown of the helmet.

He didn't lead with his helmet, but his helmet did hit McGahee's helmet. I'm not sure if that draws a flag or not.

their heads obvious hit but he led with his shoulder. the fact that their helmets banged was accidental imo.

I think it had more to do with they was about to go to the Super Bowl, fans excited, players excited, people in charge of the music excited. Don't think they was trying to be disrespectful.

How?

Helmet to helmet is often unavoidable when tackling, just like it is when linemen are blocking. A flag would have to be thrown on almost every play if that was the case.

The rule is to protect defenseless players, McGahee was not defenseless.

It was a clean hit, but it was a total headhunter move.

However, it did cause a fumble, so it definitely was not UNnecessary. It sealed the win.

:kige:

Blasting of the music was fricking pathetic. There shouldn't have been music during that moment.

Ryan Clark got his head across the body, McGahee slowed down at the moment of impact and lowered his helmet. At the moment of impact Clarks head was down, but that was incidental and what happens when 2 grown men are running at each other at 100mph.

I agree, it wasn't a cheap shot, but it was helmet to helmet and it should get a penalty/fine.

Willis Mcgahee is a piece of Crap. I could give a shite what music they play while he is laying on the ground. Thug Life Baby.

He's leading with his head, not his shoulder. Then on contact he lowers his head, not putting it up.

Head contact before shoulder
