I remember the song, but don’t recall it having anything to do with Baton Rouge. Did it?
The song was different a little catchy at first hearing, but it got old VERY quickly, maybe even before the end of the song.

The song itself, no. But the playing of it, yes.

Back in the 80s, that song was played in a radio ad, I think for some dance club. Maybe 2010? Weekends? That club on the levee by downtown (forget the name)?

The Zoo in the old mall played a remix of it.
It was always just a quick sound bite type mix in. Or I was rolling so hard it seemed like it.

I lived in Baton Rouge since the 60s and have no clue who or what this is.

Confirmed didn’t grow up in Baton Rouge.
I’ll add a hint since no one has nailed it yet:
But be specific.

Central High class of 85.
That song could be heard everywhere from The Bengal to Sports to Docs to Xanthus to Peppy’s to the Kingfish in Lafayette. If you were hearing that song you were guaranteed to see several people tripping balls on X and the strong smell of Aquanet, OG Polo, and clove cigarettes lingered everywhere.
What a time to be a college kid!
