Just started this. Lots of good characters and storylines.
Focuses on San Francisco in the late 1800s. Revolves around drama between Chinese immigration, corrupt politicians, and Chinese gangs. Great fight scenes.
Couple episodes left in S1.
Does it hold up the story moving forward for any that have seen it?

Do they close out the storylines by the last season? I watch the first 2 seasons, but haven't got to the 3rd season yet. I'm just wondering if they were able to close out the season properly or was the series canceled before they could wrap everything up?

Yea, really good show. Was hoping Netflix would renew it for a 4th season because I think they bought the rights to it.

I cancelled my HBO when they didn't renew it.
Loved the whole concept.
Enjoyed Kung Fu in the 70's too.
Enjoyed the seasons of Hell on Wheels where Bohannon worked with the Chinese.
It's a very interesting time period that wasn't discussed much when I took American history.

yes they do a good job wrapping it up but left room for more seasons if they wanted them.

quote:Yeah, I was about to say that too. The Chinatown crime and corruption story doesn't end obviously, that is something they could have kept going with. But Ah Sahm's story is completed.quote:
