Do you have any grumpy opinions about modern life?

Login to your accounts online is getting to be pain in the arse. First enter username and password, then I get a text for some random numbers, punch them in. Sometimes I have to click to verify im not a robot. Then click boxes that include a bus or bicycle in it.

Everything is a subscription now and so confusing. Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV, youtubetv, paramount. And there’s subscriptions on top of subscriptions. I only have Amazon prime account but when I log in, they are dangling movies that require additional subscription. Why? And I can’t order the big UFC fight directly from pay per view without subscribing to ESPN +. Let’s just make something that takes 1 step and make it a 2step process. Anyone miss the cable days?

The worst. It usually takes me a few times to get it right

I'm not sure there is much modern shite that I'm not grumpy about.

I don’t want to push a button to start my car, change gears, or roll down the window

I don't miss manual crank windows, but they put so much unnecessary shite in them today that I could do without. It also makes them crazy expensive.

About half the people in the workforce arent worth the paper their paychecks are printed on, or if they get direct deposit it's not worth the energy used to wire the money.

Absolute warm bodies, then these are the sane people that cry about not being paid enough. Greedy corporations are responsible tor about 50% of offshoring. Lazy Americans for the other half.

the only reason I do is because sometimes I just want the window down a little bit

But with auto up and auto down and not knowing the correct formula for the pressure to push the button to get the window down just a crack - it’s unnecessarily aggravating

This is why early-mid 90’s was the peak of our society. Had just enough tech to make life nice without it the tech itself being intrusive.

Disagree, in LOVE the push button start. I don't have to fish around for my keys, I don't have to deal with the keychain swinging.

Just press it and go.

That and the backup camera are the best things

Also having to lock my house door. I remember leaving the door unlocked 24/7 but now modern society has become to dangeros for that. Even in my nice safe neiborhood

Plus it was just my grumpy opinion

Put a smart lock on your house. I don’t even carry “keys” anymore, just the one fob in my pocket, which then never leaves my pocket

i feel like every time i use my debit/credit card at a retailer i get asked 4-5 additional questions before I can just pay.

would you like to create an account?
would you like to sign up for our credit card?
would you like to donate $ to the kids in Africa?
would you like to donate to handicapped lesbians in Ukraine?
would you like to round up to donate to local SPCA?
should we send the receipt to you via txt, email, etc?
Would you also like us to print your receipt?

No. I don’t want to do any of that shite.
I just want to pay you for the goods/services you provided. and leave.

Image based captchas are probably my least favorite thing on the internet, followed closely by floating video ads on websites. Bonus frick you points if it’s a mobile website with the video ad taking up a quarter of the screen.

absolutely not

I’ll probably have to click all the squares with a fire hydrant and get it wrong and be locked out forever

It’s either punching in numbers on a keypad or touching one button on an app. But if you want to continue your key-fob-based pratfalls, be my guest
