Any tips on getting one out? Took apart the dash, no food signs or nest. It must have been there for 1 night, it ate my speaker wires.
TIA

It sucks but you have to go nuclear, they piss all over the place and come back to thier own smell, you need to completely clean inside and out of truck, including pressure washing the engine compartment, use strong smelling cleaners where possible, such as colorox, degreasers etc, do not park in the same place and move truck often, set traps in truck , in engine compartment and wherever you park , put out poison where you can safely, spray down the wires and such with peppermint oil, cut up Irish spring soap and leave all over the place and even look into getting those ultrasonic sound deterrents

I would do bait stations around the area, if you think it was picked up around your house. Blue Max bait blocks in side. The good boxes hold the bait to where they can’t drag it out.
They can’t stand peppermint oil. You can try the shake away packets that have it they don’t last long, though. Engine bay, glove box etc.

I left my door to my new truck open for about 10 minutes and a rea got in it. I was able to get him with some sticky traps with peanut butter for bait.

About to get all the stuff. Pulled all the plastic out my truck. Infuriating honestly

I had either a rat or squirrel eat chew up some wires in my vehicle. Pretty expensive repair.
I was parking by a tree out front by the street. Ended up cutting the damn tree down. It was ugly and starting to rot out.

Irish spring soap. Peppermint spray drives them out immediately. Ultra sonic transmitters for rodents.

One of those bastards got in my wife's camry back in the 90's. Burrowed somehow in the carpet on the passenger side and made its way to the engine and chewed some wires. If that thing came out while she was driving would have been bad. Put a trap on top of the engine with cheese one night, bam, dead rat.

A rat got in my car one night and pulled the edges of all the headliner away, and chewed a hole behind the rear seat where the seatbelt goes into its rewind slot, chewing the seatbelt in half in the process. Put out sticky traps as well as mechanical with cheese and never caught it. Some people say they could smell that it died in there but I couldn’t.

Had rats get in my camper while it was in winter storage at the ClimaStor in Walker. Talked to a couple of other guys, one was the the process of having his entire bass boat rewired. In my case, the vermin ate every piece of Pex in the walls, turned on the water and it looked like a sprinkler system. Turned out I had rodent coverage through State Farm and they picked up the tab (less deductible) to replumb the entire thing. Several thousand dollars.
I started using the yellow bait blocks off Amazon based on a recommendation from UncleJackD, and that seems to have worked. Have started putting those out in the shed at our place on the river and it seems to have eradicated them there.

I have one in mine too.
It died somewhere. Smells terrible. It must have been big. It’s been there since the snow storm and still stinks

After you clean everything up
Got to a sporting goods store and buy some red fox piss. Spray it under the hood and some other inconspicuous areas.
May not get one out per se but it will keep them away.

Peppermint oil, rat pellets, 4 glue traps with PB, 2 spring traps with PB, 3 ultrasound rodent plugs ins and THAT SON IS STILL IN THERE. I don’t think it can get out.

I've had some success with peppermint. Probably have to spray it in the near area though for to be effective. ie, spraying in engine bay isn't going to run him out if he's holed up in back bumper.
