There was no offensive identity for this game. No out of bounds offensive play calling and no offensive plays run from the point. It was pick and roll from the point and Texas was playing it perfectly. Texas played tight defense and we didn’t have any back breaking plays when Texas would jump the pass. The only reason this game was as close as it was is Texas was horrible under the basket in the first half. They couldn’t buy a shot. The girls also looked tired towards the end from the lack of substitutions. Jada should have gotten some minutes in this game.

You do know Texas is pretty good on their side of the ball, too, right?

TD has the best coaches in the world, especially after a loss.

Yes, I know Texas is good but all I saw was the same offensive scheme every time down the court. Texas was playing tight D and there was no adjustment made to what they were doing. The girls also were not moving well without the ball. How in the world do you get 3 5 second calls when inbounding the ball. That’s not much on Kim but it looked like they were playing street ball out there. Texas shooting bad in the first half is the only reason this game was close.

Our girls were getting pegged by Texas physically and yall act like that had no impact on our rhythm.

That was easily the lost physical team I’ve seen get away with it besides your usual South Carolina team

You non-hoopers have the worst takes! You don’t even know what you’re watching. We ran sets on almost every possession—except for a few quick bad shots.

sets must equal, running a 2 vs 5 offense while 3 girls stand on the other side doing nothing.

Thank you Kim loses on the road to the #1 team
In the country with Faujea not 100% and literally a few BS calls, missed free throws and Texas didn’t miss ONE free throw! That’s a crazy stat 21-21 that never happens with that many attempts esp in women’s basketball. I think we will be all good. Plus Gilbert on the bench. We will see Texas again in tourney or madness. But Kim knows what’s she’s doing. Let her cooooooooook!!!

I agree with you. I think a big part of the problem is that we do not have a top notch point guard who can handle and create. I know that Richard is probably not ready to be a starter, but she plays under control and can shoot. Poa is a good defender, but she cannot shoot at all or create shots for others. The girl from Miami is bad on both ends of the floor. Gilbert can score when hot, but that is it.
I wish we had Amore; we might have won it all.

Both teams were 21-63 33%shooting. They were 21-21 at the line. We shot 68% at the line. We ran out of gas in the 4th quarter. Some of that you can put on Mulkey for not subbing more in the 2nd and 3rd, but we had them. Too much standing around in the late 3rd and 4th. I actually feel okay about it. We played great defensively. We just have to finish.

Kim's best qualities are recruiting, motivation and here competitive fire and want to win.

I don't think she's a bad bench coach, but that ain't here strength and it ain't why she's won 4 Natty's.

It is amazing how many genius's are just sitting around posting their superior coaching knowledge on a message board instead of being out making millions of dollars actually coaching.

I don't understand the difficulty of the getting ball in play after a score...Usually Tigers run good plays under own basket...Not Today!!!

When Texas got after them, they were MUCH quicker. That makes a huge difference. It is funny hear you idiots talk poorly about a coach that has won 1 National Titles as a coach, 1 National Title as an assistant coach, 2 National Titles as a player, and 1 gold medal as a player.

Good god we have some truly ignorant fans. Texas has a better team, and the refs didn't help with all the fouls. If you want to blame Kim for not having better players, so be it...but not much they could do on the road that second half.

Anyone here ever heard of home court advantage? Texas beat SC at home and LSU at home. There was definitely some favorable calls down the stretch that favored Texas. What goes around comes around. We’ll see them again. LadyTigers are looking good.

We played well on the road against a top 5 team. You lose some of these. A win would have been great, but we are still very well in the thick of things.
