Seems like the course rating and/or slope is way to low. What say you?

I’m a 6 from the black and a 2 from copper. Seems ok. Kind of a big difference between tees there.

I’m sure the 6-6-6 format makes it weird.

I'm a 27 and I shoot a 93 there from the green and my handicap goes up. Doesn't seem right

Are you sure you didn't have a lower score roll off to make your cap go up?

I find this to be the case at some courses I play like Copper Mill and The Lakes at PP.

My guess is players don’t score correctly (ie cheat with mulligans and not counting penalty strokes), thus causing the course rating to be off.

There are lots of new golfers since Covid. Many have no idea how golf is played or scored.

The course rating is set by the state golf association. Has nothing to do with player’s scores

Technically it is not that difficult of a course. It is enjoyable and when I play it I tend to get a little ego stroke.

It is the only course I have every driven a par 4 and sank the putt for an Eagle

I think the course rating is pretty accurate for what it is. The 6/6/6 layout along with 2 drivable par 4’s and 2 very short par 5’s make it a course you can really shoot low on. One of my favorite courses to play a chill round

The front 9 is very scoreable. Back 9 much more challenging but have to pull off the gas on a few holes

My lowest round is there. And I've shot sub 37 multiple times on front 9. 9 hcp golfer now

This. I generally score much better on the front there. I can usually count on being as much over par combined on holes 10, 12, 15 and 17 as I am the entire front 9.

One of my best scores there was in the fall. Shot 36-38 for a 74, but was +4 combined on those 4 holes.
