lol! No fricking way. Never. Bad news guys: college sports really isn’t that important
Looks to me like ADs, coaches, and TV networks have plenty of dollars floating around. I am not giving them anything
If top coaches can get over $10m a year, SEC is in a $3b TV deal, tickets aren’t dirt cheap, and we get constant gambling ads then that tells me they have lots of money and don’t need mine.

No, and I find it hilarious that people do.

Never. Some of these kids will make close to an average person's career earnings or more during their time in college. And they're doing that without my contributions. They don't need more money to throw around.

I was in Columbia back in September and I went to a local restaurant and on every table as well as every bar stool they had a pamphlet to donate to the USC Gamecock NIL collective with QR codes and everything.

Just shameful.

No. Only money I give to my alma mater is for specific pure merit based scholarship funds

I’d rather completely give up watching college sports then donate a penny to that stupidity

That seems aggressive. But also, no and no as to donations or future donations.

don't know if I'll give money from this point forward, but i did contribute a small amount to a collective after the 2022 season, so that it would help retain a lot of Michigan's key players for the 23 season

sure enough, UM won the natty, so it was all worth it

now that i've seen my team win a natty in my adult lifetime, and with the massive amount of money being pumped in by billionaires, don't think i'll do it again

ETA: a lot of Michigan's key players for the 23 season were 4th and 5th year guys, who weren't exactly rolling in money and weren't benefiting from NIL a whole lot

No I have not and no I will not. See, I have this thing about not giving money away to people/institutions that already have more than I do.

Any NIL funds I might have are going to the 4 knot heads who I am proud to call my dependents.

Straight cash? Nah, never will. But I did buy some Bijan Dijon cause I thought it was funny and didn't mind spending a little more $ to support a player.

If they did more things like that I'd be happy to, but I'm still paying off my student loans why would I give them more money.

I would never donate to a fund/collective when I have no idea how, or for who, my money is being used.
