Not a Rebuild/wasted season

Everyone’s worried about our cap situation, we’ve had worse cap situations. Ultimately it will come down to if we can hit in the draft this year.
That is the quickest way, cheapest way to get better. The bigger issue was our head coach and evaluation of talent. Yes we have missed on some picks but we have also hit on some only have coaches not know how to use them and let go to free agency.
Anyway my main point is everyone including the major media now are acting like our salary cap is going really hold us back, and it’s not it’s been an issue forever and we suck at signing free agents anyway. Not including middle linebacker. So we draft right we can compete for the playoffs.
However, to compete for a superbowl we will need to figure out the QB situation which also may be solved in the draft. The end.

On a positive, I can only downvote you once….

The issue with the cap is the lack of depth. First line starters are more than capable of winning the division. But as we saw last year, the team falls apart quickly when backups have to play significant roles.
We absolutely can win the division next year. But we would have to get lucky. Carr and McCoy have to stay healthy, the draft picks have to contribute in a meaningful way.

Mighty big word.

So 6 rookies are going to completely change an aging, overpaid roster?

We are not competing for anything, even if we have an S-class draft.

You’re getting downvoted but you’re not wrong.
All 32 teams have NFL players at every position. The margin is thin. Couple things go right your way and you’re deep in the playoffs.

Really? Worse then 50mil+? Washington is 70mil+ under the cap. Think about that.

Not really. Like yes this is an issue but it's resolvable through good drafts and smart FA anyway.
The real issue with the cap is that we can't cut veterans, we are forced to restructure or extend them to get cap compliant, which just extends our issues.
