Will Campbell. An offensive line of Campbell, Ruiz, McCoy, Patrick/Penning?, Fuaga looks promising on paper. I know Fuaga did really well at LT this past season, but he did play RT at Oregon State. I’m not sure how you can pass on the #1 rated tackle if he’s still there at #9.

After seeing how well Philly's line did this season and given they were the largest OL in the league, I'm all in favor of continuing to draft giants. Once your line crumbles, so does the offense.

No thanks.

Let Penning continue his development at RT. No need to continue the further OL shuffle. Campbell is a bit of a risk at LT anyways.

Sidenote: be interesting if Doug ends up with Saints cause his daughter is dating will campbell.

Just curious why you think he’s a risk. He started since his freshman year and did really well against SEC DE’s

his run blocking lacks a bit. he didn't have quite the year many expected. arm length a bit of a question mark. i didn't like how he ran his mouth this year and didn't back shite up.

He definitely looks like the type of guy who will fall on draft day after physical evals come back. I think he's definitely available at 9.

If Mason Graham or Mykel Williams is there, would be a nice pick at 9. If McMillian falls, it would be tough to pass on him. We can pick up offense lineman in later rounds IMO.

Why is he a risk? Have you looked at all the defensive ends that will go in the first two rounds this year and how he did against them.

Landon Jackson, Scourton, Princely U, k Kennard just going off memory. Don’t remember any of those guys giving him issues. I think Kennard gave him the most trouble.

That being said, I only want Graham or McMillian at 9 and if both are gone trade down for more picks.

Many people think Campbell will have to move to Guard

You can easily pass on a tackle at 9. Fuaga looks good on paper? The dude is a stud. You pass on Campbell easily. This dline class is an epic class. You’re taking Graham, mykel, Walker, scourton over Campbell all day every day. Fuaga is a stud and penning actually looked formidable last year. LT is not even remotely close to a need here.

Idc what it is, but either you grab an ugly on the DL or OL. I'll be happy with either.

A dominant nt can open up bresee even more, similarly to what vita Vea is doing for Tampa. Or what Carter/Davis are doing for everyone else in philly.

A left guard would shore up one guard slot while we slowly count the stupid commitment to Ruiz.

Uhhhh how did he not have the yr expected? In 3 yrs he's only given up 3 sacks, 1 a yr. Pretty sure he backed it up. So in 2,553 offensive snaps, he's only given up 3 sacks, 12 hits, 30 hurries, I'd say that's ELITE

You do realize LT are supposed to be better pass Blockers than run??? Of course you don’t… look at your post history.

I’m not sure I want the Saints to gamble on this pick. I want the Saints to select an impact player for an offensive minded head coach.

Here is a personal question: Where have you been? Haven’t seen you on the board for awhile.

The argument can be made that fuaga is a better rt than he is a lt, however he was already a damn good lt to start year 1.

The question is, is penning a better LG than he is a RT? Because then you run into the same question of drafting someone (Ruiz) to shuffle someone else (Mccoy) and end up in a weird spot (undersized rg) when it doesn't work out.

Or it's a signal that we're not gonna pay penning in a year and he's not worth the 5th year option. That's fine too.

I don't see all the shuffling making it worth while. Penning is an ideal RT if his pass pro continues to improve. LG we have cheap options of lucas patrick and maybe becton in offseason that are probably better than Penning trying to get used to a 3rd spot on the line. Campbell and Fuaga at LT are probably about a wash.
