Baseball predictions

I'm getting really impatient for some baseball. The threads are disappearing, tired of Jay Johnson interviews on YouTube. So I'm starting a thread just to keep some conversation going.
My predictions
1. We get eliminated in semifinals of Omaha
2. Anderson remains the Friday night ace. Nothing against Anderson but I hope I'm wrong about that.
3. Surprise pitcher of the year, Mayers.
4. Bear will get his 30.
5. Milam will lead the team in batting average.
6. Brown will be the spark plug that drives our offense to a different level.
7. We are going to be a really good offensive team that pressures pitchers with every batter instead of relying a few stars.
8. Surprise offensive player, Josh Pearson
9. Surprise defensive player, Curiel, who could take over CF.
10. Between catcher, DH and OF we will have a different lineup every day the entire year.
Feel free to agree or disagree or add BOLD predictions of your own.

I can't wait until Friday. If your prediction is semis in Omaha then wouldn't be a stretch if this team has a chance to punch above and win it all.
I hate these 2pm games during the week but I get that cold, night games or the potential for that isn't ideal especially if turnout from the crowd can be low.

I’m going to predict that Jake Brown finishes second on the team in HR’s.

I appreciate all you do with scrimmage play by plays, so no offense. But anybody who said Guidry would be the Friday night starter loses a lot of credibility when it comes to pitching.
I also don't understand the logic of not wanting Anderson to be the Friday night guy.

I think I'll trust the coaches who eat, sleep and breathe baseball to make that determination. Whether or not he keeps the Friday night job remains to be seen, but apparently they think he's the best man for the job right now based on what they've seen in the off season.

Curiel leads the team in batting average and number of hits and wins SEC freshman of the year
Jones hits 32 home runs
We finish 2nd in the SEC
Top 8 seed and we take down VA for our 8 national tittle
Surprise pitcher of the staff is Cason Evans
Stansfield and Dick lead the team in steals with Stansfield leading the SEC
Defensive player of the team will be Monster.
Hope Springs Eternal!

Jones, Brown and Milam all hit .350+ with 15+ home runs.

No offense taken. Guidry as the Friday night starter was a risky take that fell flat on its face. Keep in mind he pitched better than Anderson, Shores and Eyanson in the fall. If he would have continued that in the spring it wouldn't seem so crazy.

Most people believe Shores will eventually take over Friday night and that is likely. I will believe it when I see it though.

I predict we’re gonna win the whole thing

You’ll get heat for this, but I like making it to Omaha. Anything can happen once there, too hard to predict for me.

More of a team prediction that may not be so bold, but I think as a team we are one of the top base stealing and base running teams in the SEC. I think we're going to put a lot of pressure on pitching staffs in ways we haven't seen under Jay at LSU yet.
He did this at Arizona the year they made it to the finals, so I don't think it's too bold, our team make up is a little more that way than the bombers this year imo.
ETA: I have a bet on us to win it all this year, so I predict we win it all!

some BOLD takes I have for the year.
Frey will have a Travinski circa 2023 type of year. Will work his way into the line up becoming white hot when the lights get the brightest.
Reaves will be a bigger factor than most are anticipating. (Daily starter at third base by mid SEC play, if not before)
Mav Rizy will be the closer we have been missing. Zach Hess kind of presence. Absolute show stopper.

What kind of fan predicts their favorite team to loose? I say we will won the championship no doubt! If i ever think we will loose I just keep my mouth shut!

I like those takes but I'm thinking more Evans than Rizy as closer.

Fun thread. I hope you’re right on Mayers but the reports I’ve seen aren’t promising. Maybe I missed some.
I’m hoping that by the post season Arrambide has earned the majority of starts at C and Priester is the go to DH. Actual prediction is Milam keeps it going and hits 15 or more dingers this year. His and Curriel’s OBP will be north of 400.

How aggressive Jay will be on the base paths will be interesting.

I don't think many will disagree with you here and I don't think that's what Wild is saying. I think he's more along the lines of Shores has the make up to be the most dominant pitcher on the staff this year if he can put it all together.
I generally agree with that because of the natural velocity he has. Anderson has been fabulous in both the fall and spring and I don't think anyone would be upset if he didn't lose a step and remained our Friday night guy. Shores just has the make up to have the higher ceiling if he can put it together.
