Saw in another thread someone talking about just using paper plates, no ceramics which got me thinking how I know people like this. They say it’s easier so they don’t have to wash dishes.

IMO it’s trashy as hell and extremely lazy. Takes all of 2 seconds to wash a plate off, the price you pay I guess for not eating each meal off a damned paper plate.

Depends what and when we’re eating. Multiple kids so paper plates get used if we’re eating something quick or late.

Yes. It saves water from washing dishes so it’s better for the environment

I have 4 kids. We use paper. We aren’t washing 6 plates three times a day.

This. Paper plates are easy as hell. How the hell is it trashy to eat off a paper plate in your own home?

This is what my family did growing up. You could always use the below to "class it up" a little bit.

We use Styrofoam instead of paper but yes, unless we have company or something that would be more practical in a bowl almost every meal is eaten off a Styrofoam plate. Depending on who the company is they might be eating off Styrofoam as well. It is far more sanitary. There are 4 of us in our house. None of us is on the same schedule. My wife and I would rinse off plates if we used them, my daughter and my father wouldn't, they both assume such things as clean dishes magically happen. If we used plates they would so we use Styrofoam and so do they. We also use plastic dinnerware and solo cups for cold drinks. For whatever reason my father and daughter, who will set dirty dishes in the sink for someone else to contend with, will throw the plastic shite in the garbage on their own. We could of course force our daughter to clean her dishes but there is NOTHING you can do with a 85 year old man.

I personally hate eating off disposable products including silverware.

But it’s never crossed my mind to worry if others do or not.

This “other thread” you saw it in, how many redditors posted in that thread?

If you pickup takeaway from outback or longhorn do you take it out of the plastic tray and plate it too? Why not, lazy arse? How about pouring all your cans and bottles into a glass? It only takes a few seconds to rinse the glass after, ya bum.

Shocked at how many lazy wasteful people on here

It takes like 3 seconds to put a plate in the dishwasher

And you are all training your kids to be lazy too

Only use paper if having a party
