I remind you that in 2006 Sean Payton was an unknown to the head coaching ranks with a reputation for being a good offensive mind. The true test for Moore won’t be his ability to call plays but how he manages the entire team including who he picks for his staff, the culture and hitting on your draft picks in the top 100. For all the guys available Ben Johnson will have been my first choice but Moore was close to the top. I’d rather try and fail with Moore than be a mediocre, boring product under Mike McMCarthy.

Moore was the best we could’ve done this cycle. People on here love being miserable.

I don’t understand the whole “questionable hire” label people have. He’s never been a head coach before, of course there’s questions. There’s questions about Ben Johnson and every other coordinator taking the leap to head coach. I think he’s a young impressive offensive mind. Can he surround himself with good leaders, can he command the room, can he develop talent at a consistent level as a head coach. He isn’t walking in this room with the best oline in the game, the best rb in football, an elite level receiver room. He’s got his work cut out for him. But, to think he has more questions than other assistants making that leap is just silly.

It’s high risk high reward. Why not? We will probably suck anyway. Roll the dice on a young offensive coach.

Those people will piss and moan about everything.

If he doesn’t win the Super Bowl in 26 they’ll say see we told you he sucks.

They’re perpetual losers and seem to be miserable enough to focus on the negatives of every situation.

Sad really.
