Total hit piece predicting who will "get Elon's scalp". Calls Musk 'Trump's henchman"

This clown, a forner GOP advisor, claims a state AG will take down Elon.
I think if anything like that happens, a message has to be sent. By message I mean, maybe an AG or two get the Clinton Challenge.

“There’s no question that the scale of the likely illegality of Elon Musk‘s action is unprecedented,” Stevens tweeted. “But a big donor or high-ranking aide thinking he is untouchable only to face civil and criminal charges is a long, old story.”
Stevens trotted out several examples of political falls from grace: Aides of disgraced President Richard Nixon’s Watergate crime and coverup who went to prison; officials from President Ronald Reagan’s administration who were indicted in the Iran-Contra scandal; donors to President Bill Clinton who were convicted of campaign finance violations; and, of course, a long list of criminals from Trump’s first administration. Some were later pardoned by Trump.
“The likely scenario is that the young tech bros Musk has following his orders will be thrown under the bus,” Stevens tweeted. “But Musk is a big scalp for a state AG to have on his wall. And no presidential pardon could save him.”

Didn't read the article but I'd like to ask him one question. Were any of your examples, the wealthiest men in the history of the world?

I've always felt that Trump needed a champion, one who'd embrace his policies and not care whose toes get stepped on. Darwin's Bulldog, as it were.
For the longest time, I thought it was Bannon. But for whatever reason, even though he went to jail for Trump, Steve isn't exactly being praised and shown Trump's favor. Stylistically, they're just too different, I suppose. Trump's not a fan.
Elon, on the other hand, Trump genuinely seems to like him. Sees him as an equal, on many levels. Even in awe of him, I suspect.
Incredibly fateful that those 2 have teamed up at this point in history.

Link says he's a Dem advisor. Probably got fired by the GOP.

I think it is clear the Dems will go back to the playbook of using state AGs to attack the Trump administration. There was an article today at Politico about everyone's favorite Letitia James "leading the resistance":
quote:
NEW YORK — New York State Attorney General Letitia James has joined one lawsuit blocking President Donald Trump’s birthright citizenship ban, is leading another challenging his wide-ranging funding freeze and warned she’d sue if Trump demands local assistance in federal immigration raids.
And that’s just since his inauguration on Jan. 20.
James, who won a major lawsuit against Trump in 2024, is widely viewed in New York politics as a formidable figure whose next move is always top of mind for politicians, labor leaders and operatives. Now they’re eyeing the state’s leading lawyer as she positions herself to defend New York’s interests in a Trump administration. Her perch — a job that comes with nearly entirely self-driven headlines — has made James a talked-about contender for even more prominent roles like governor, U.S. Senator or even mayor of New York City.
Her actions in Trump’s first week — and a recent interview with POLITICO — suggest James is willing to assume a leading role.

Establishment critters are reaching desperation in hopes of keeping that hand in the cookie jar and free from any true scrutiny/accountability.
They’ve had a hell of a gig going.

Not sure if Elon is a Clint Eastwood fan or not but I’m sure every time someone talks this talk Elon’s thinks how this might make his day

I do admit... I'm kinda curious as to what, in this scenario, they think a State AG will take Musk down for... what exactly is it that they are implying that he's done that he needs to be taken down for?

Be a real shame if some horrible tragedy were to befall Letitia James.
Not that a man worth $400 billion could make something bad happen to you with a phone call.
