Suddenly I think the Gulf should be called the Gulf of America. Here’s why.

North America is a continent. The region includes the Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, the Caribbean, Central America, Mexico and the United States, among other small islands.
Canada shouldn’t care about the name change since it’s so far away. The waters are bordered by Mexico, the US and Cuba. I say drop Mexico from the name and call it the Gulf of the Americas. Maybe Gulf of North America is too long. Obviously we shouldn’t call it the Gulf of the United States.

I said this a week ago. North, South, Central America. Gulf of America. I once asked my Guatemalan FIL what it was like to live in America. He told me he has always lived in America. Which was true.
