And move on. It's not like anybody wants the job. So just give it to someone that's needs the job to turn around his image.

At this point I would have to agree. He definitely wants back in and to do so he would likely capitulate to whatever stipulations Loomis would put on him regarding coaching personnel and roster decisions.

I’m curious as to why he name wasn’t mentioned in any of the coaching vacancies especially the Saints since it’s no secret he has ties to the organization.
1) he doesn’t really want to coach here. 2) the saints have interest in hiring him as a HC
3) he’s blackballed from coaching in the NFL

Personally, I want him.
BUT...
I think the Saints as an organization were EXHAUSTED with the clear targeting that we had by the league while Payton was here.
I really dont think thats butthurt fan bias to say. It was a very real, contentious, and punitive situation we found ourselves in.
And i think they really dont want to do that again, and Gruden would be round 2.
