I had forgotten just how good the early episodes of The Crown were

Decided to do a little rewatch in the background. While I enjoyed the series all of the way to it's end (I'd argue most of the seasons were as good as others on TV), I forgot just how good it was with the cast of the first two seasons: Claire Foy as Queen and Matt Smith as Prince.
Definitely one of Netflix's better original productions.

Favorite part is Queen Elizabeth being fully informed on why the Duke of Windsor should not be brought back into the family.

Uh no. Not the king. But I agree with you about the show.

Sorry, I was doing some distracted posting. Corrected to Prince.

My wife and I tore through the first season or 2 of The Crown.
Then we made it through the "middle" but we are stuck in season 5 and just can't stay motivated.
It is a great production, an epic telling of Elizabeth's reign, but it is just a slog to get through.

The Dianna episodes were good. I caught back up with those. I'm two past three car wreck.
I remeber that period.

I enjoyed Vanessa Kirby as Princess Margaret

I loved the entire run, but Seasons 1-2 were by far the best.

Loved seasons 1 & 2, too.
Season 4 was gangbusters as well. Thatcher & Charles & Diana were very well done, albeit they made the Queen vs Thatcher conflicts a bit more dramatic than they were.

I hesitated for so long before starting this series and it ended up being one of the best I've seen. I guess I can't trust myself to know what I like.

The grandmother bowing to her was epic. Really hit home who she now was.

I enjoyed the whole series, but Seasons 1&2 are incredible.
The first two episodes are some of the best couple of hours of tv ever imo.
