I got a red light ticket in Millington north of Memphis. It says it is a non moving violation and is just a civil enforcement. Do you all pay these things? In Louisiana they are not enforceable except for the strongly worded letters they send you which are not worth the paper they are printed on.
I will say it is not exhorbitant, only $50. I rarely travel through Millington but do so every few yrs or so.
My personal objection to these things are there is no court to process these things and they send the ticket to the name on the title. I have 4 vehicles in my name so I have gotten a slew of these in the past even though none were for me driving at the time.

Maybe set up a gofundme and post it here so we can pay your ticket for you

We don't pay them here in TN.

At least here in Knoxville, they say in bold letters that they can't affect your insurance, credit or driver's license. I just ignored the one I got over a year ago. No issues, but I do get a periodic harassment letter trying to get me to pay it.

Throw it away. You’ll probably get a couple more letters that will try to scare you into paying, but those are trash as well.
Camera tickets in TN are unenforceable.

No, these camera civil violation tickets supposedly have some appeal council that is all run by the police department. This is probably the biggest thing that usually makes them unenforcable.

Thanks! That is what I was hoping to hear.

It literally says "if you want a review the fill out the coupon below and a review date, location, and time will be mailed to you." The address to send the review request is Knoxville, TN. It also says you have to appear in person or you are liable and responsible for the civil penalty.
If the ticket is sent to a rental company the appeal address is Tempe, AZ.
There is no court associated with this ticket that can be discerned from it.
As a previous poster said above I now see the statement in Bold ... "Non-payment of this notice cannot adversely affect your credit score or report, drivers license, and/or automobile insurance rates."

Well, there you go. You could have just read the ticket in the first place.

Got a ticket the one time i was in NY. Told.officer i was never coming back and asked if it would matter if i dont show up. He said not if i dont plan on coming back. 6 months later AL suspended my license for not paying my ticket.

Memphis resident here.
No. It’s an out of state law firm issuing the red light tickets. Similar as in BR. I’ve received two, both straight into the garbage. No issues.

Would that be like reading the directions? If so I would wait until my wife read them and informed me he during the next good arguement…

These tickets are attached to a specific license plate.
Not the person, that specific plate.
Not the car, the plate.

Few others have already said this, it’s garbage. Not even sure how these are legal.
