Either of those are better than half the candidates hired this cycle. Maybe not Vrabel or Johnson, but Id take either over Glenn, Schotenheimer or Carroll. If we land either we should be thankful, considering the situation.

Brady is in a somewhat similar situation that payton was when the Saints hired him, Inconsistent track record as an OC and no HC experience.

Would you rather be OC for a SuperBowl contender or a HC for a trash organization?

I think they want Brady and are waiting for the Bills to either lose Sunday or until after the Super Bowl. McCarthy would be the fall back. Since it is the last opening, McCarthy will be available no matter what Brady decides so we can afford to wait.

I think any coordinator who has any aspirations of being a head coach would tell you that they’d prefer being 1 of 32 head coaches.
If you’re a successful coordinator in the league, that isn’t lost on organizations if the head coaching gig doesn’t pan out.

Things change quickly in the NFL. Slowik was mentioned in the same breath last year after Ben Johnson for head coaching jobs. And they just fired him. Brady was already fired before even finishing out his first year as OC.
He might want to jump on the boat before it leaves the dock and you get left behind.
