Xbox Developer Direct 2025 - Ninja Gaiden, Expedition 33, Doom, South of Midnight

Started the show off with a Ninja Gaiden 4 reveal and Ninja Gaiden 2 Black stealth release on Game Pass today.

Ninja Gaiden and platinum games. I am not sure how I feel about that.
I hope they are not doing the combat. I wasn't a huge fan of Nier type combat.

I dont trust Team Ninja making a Ninja Gaiden game without Itagaki at the controls, so I'm fine with this. Ninja Gaiden 3 was trash. It looks like they nailed the art style and world, I just hope the combat has some weight to it.
NG1 Black and NG2 are two of the best action games of all time, so it's nice to see NG2 get the definitive edition it deserves. Can't believe this is real.

NG3 was 10 years ago by now.
Their more recent games like RotR and Noih1/2 are better than any combat that platinum games has done, in my opinion.
I say this not knowing anymore than just seeing the announcement of a co-developer.

Damn I wish Doom and CO33 didn’t come out so close together. Super pumped for CO33 but have never played doom and wanted to pop my cherry with this one

My teenager is pumped about Doom. Had a goofy smile through the entire announcement.

Don't read my username but please just go play the original doom on xbox/ps5 if you can. It's probably 10 bucks to buy 1-3. It's somehow still amazing to this day. If you can't deal with the graphics then just go play DOOM (2016).
The games aren't too long but it will make you so pumped for dark ages. I seriously wish I could play them again for the first time.

Doom 3 is trash. Total departure from what makes a doom game great

Im not hugely into action beat em ups but I loved the combat in Platinum's Metal Gear Rising Revengeance.
