Pretty interesting article on the abuse of power by Eddie Bonine. investigate tv must have done the article. Talks alot about Randy Livingston and what happened to him. Makes Bonine out to be a tyrant.

Doesn't matter if it's Bonine or anyone else. The guy before him sucked, too.

Tommy Henry …. LHSAA has always been about politics and certain HS coaches with inflated egos. They’ve never put the kids first.

From what I’ve heard, he is an idiot and can’t be trusted.

Well of course Newman people will try to co-opt the media and look to win a PR battle
Curious timing with the LHSAA convention on Saturday
There’s a key vote which seeks to ensure that all litigation against the LHSAA is done in EBR parish. No more local judges can gum up the LHSAA for 400 schools to serve the interests of their hometown

They need to mandate that halftime at all football games is 20 minutes. Band directors and dance line sponsors shouldn't have to wonder/hope from week to week if they will have enough time for all performances.

I don’t know anything about the case other than what I just saw on Nakamotos investigation, but it does seem pretty damning that the LHSAA director admitted at trial:
1) the LHSAA didn’t follow its own rules and protocol in the handling of the Newman case AND
2) the anonymous allegations against Newman were documented on a paper containing mostly illegible writing.

Well, a media story with an angle settles it.
I’m quite certain you can find filings where Randy admitted handing envelopes of cash to players….in his own interview to the LHSAA. Fraudulent addresses used by students, grade-fixing, scholarships (aka financial aid), but your right- LHSAA didn’t follow their rules.

Then where are the filings? The only evidence was illegible notes from an anonymous source.

The LHSAA has released documents detailing possible rule violations allegedly committed by head coach Randy Livingston and the Newman boy’s basketball program. LHSAA’s Keith Corona is leading the investigation, and the documents contain interviews with Newman Athletic Director Patrick Summerhour, Coach Livingston, and former coaches, parents and students. Here are the documents released to the media March 21 by the LHSAA :

The Newman football coach just left and took a job in Georgia… does he know something we don’t yet about the fallout?

You must not be involved with dance line or band in any capacity. Those kids work their butts off just like the football team does. If the football team can get 48 minutes, then both dance lines and bands can get 20 to ensure they get to perform what they've literally given blood, sweat, and tears preparing.
Posted on 1/23/25 at 11:02 pm to TigerSooner
The band literally does not work the same as the football team nor are they judged like the team. Band, cheerleaders, etc are part of a football game atmosphere, not equal parts. When it’s a band competition, then sure they are the focal point.

If you call the Lhsaa and listen to the message that comes on before you talk to anyone they say the Lhsaa does not take anonymous tips. This is another thing they lie about. Bonine needs to go.
