This is not a role of federal govt, or any govt for that matter.

Housing markets are part of the free market. If cheap affordable housing is in demand, someone will supply it

I agree. I only support if they are lowering the prices by removing some regulations and bureaucracy but that’s about it. Government needs to stay out the free market.

Sure. But it’s also not their job to have excessive and costly regulations on the industry. Every bit of red tape removed will make the market a little bit more free.

Okay, at first I was a little concerned but looking at what he is having them do, I am hell yeah.

Calling it an emergency he can stop all the cost driving regulations and mandates for shitty global warming crap.

You're an idiot.

"This shall include pursuing appropriate actions to: lower the cost of housing and expand housing supply; eliminate unnecessary administrative expenses and rent-seeking practices that increase healthcare costs; eliminate counterproductive requirements that raise the costs of home appliances; create employment opportunities for American workers, including drawing discouraged workers into the labor force; and eliminate harmful, coercive “climate” policies that increase the costs of food and fuel."

I knew some would not read the emergency orders. He is attacking regulations and mandates driving up costs.

Trump isn’t a small government conservative - why would you think that. Small government conservatives failed and are a bunch of dorks.

Thank God Trump isn’t one

This reduces government regulation. It literally takes the governments hand out of a lot of the process.

It sounds like he’s saying get government out of the way where possible to lower costs.

Can we at least ask the hedge funds nicely to quit buying entire subdivisions?

I am sure builders will lower their prices because some federal regulations disappear.

I don't really care for this. Its throwing something out or the hell of it. There isn't anything a President can do immediate to help with this. But he can make a series of moves that could easy pricing in the long run, but that isn't guaranteed.
