Not out the woods completely yet, but it’s a good start.

It would be. They're known to go down with no adverse weather conditions.

Power didn't go out, but they are probably still going to tack on a another "storm recovery charge" just in case

1300 people in Lake Chuck were without power for a few hours today while the "blizzard" was raging

All that melted snow will cause massive flooding. Power lines and transformers on poles will be underwater and even a first grader knows that water and electricity don't mix.

Entergy (and any Louisiana power producer) has it in their best interest to keep the power on during the coldest days of the year. It’s these days that set the yearly max for load. That power consumption partially sets the prices for the next year.

Yes, Louisiana’s max load takes place during the winter. Lots of electric heaters down here and they require exponentially higher wattage than an A/C.

It also helped that the last two hurricanes that took out a lot of overhanging limbs and dead trees over and nearby powerlines.

Neighborhoods in Belle Chase were without electricity for like 16 hours yesterday. It was ridiculous.
