No matter what...ND can't best the best of college football athletes. NIL may move the tab in their favor one day. BK rolled the dice on LSU.
How can we not back him for all we can?
BK certainly did.
It's the fricking wild west.
Go Tigers!

BK bet on Louisiana’s talent pool for a reason.

Yep. So Texas Bowl L84 and unranked is better than playing game 16 or 17 for a championship. Ole Miss standards.

And what about the 2 years prior to this one where Kelly finished ranked ahead of ND after taking over the worst lsu situation in decades? Kelly left ND as a top 5 program and went to a dumpster fire and yet that dumpster fire finished ahead of ND in 22 and 23.

It’s all about money now. Of course the best players were always being paid but now it’s on a whole new level.

ND has had every scheduling and brand exposure advantage forever and haven’t seriously threatened winning a championship in 37 years.

It’s obvious why a coach who has that goal on their list would think about trying something else after a while.

If BK can get one at LSU then it’s all worth it. Only time will tell but this game only backs his decision.

He saw 2 HC ,he deemed lesser ,win with Louisiana talent.
I dont think anyone would say O or Miles were better program builders than Kelly.

You’re right. Notre Dame would have to get it done in a down year like Michigan did.

Year 1:
Kelly did more with less, and Freeman did less with more

Year 3:
Freeman just played in the NC and Kelly was in the Texas Bowl

But LSU is lucky to have BK, lol

Hey man, their ‘93 team was right there.

Shout out to Kevin McDougal.

It was apparent from the 1st series OSU had the ball. Different type of athlete. Granted, OSU has a LSU2019 stable of skill players

This was very much a down year in College Football. The SEC was way down compared to normal...mostly due to poor QB play. IMO, the only really talented team on both sides was Ohio State. Texas was held back by Ewers. Georgia had poor QB play from beck....and if Milroe can't run, they are toast.

Penn St, Notre Dame, etc, capitalized on this. I don't think Penn St or Indiana ever had a top win this year....Notre Dame's claim to fame during the regular season was a week 1 win against Texas A&M...who left in the original starter the entire game.

But, people are gonna claim Freeman as the new great upcoming coach...with their schedule they will always be in the mix.

Oregon was pretty talented and likely wins if they beat Ohio State. But yes, the rest of the teams weren’t in their level
