Job just told us they want us to come in at 8 am and they will let us know if things changes. I have to cross the bridge to go to Port Allen.

Tomorrow will be one of the safest days of the year to go to work. There will be very little traffic on the road. A little ice on the road is a lot safer than all these dumbass drivers on the road.

Not for people who aren’t used to driving in snow. It’s much safer to keep people off the road other than essential services. Many places have activation teams for emergencies that allow them to stay on site. Such as hospitals allowing activation staff to sleep at the hospital for a day or 2.

Maybe they are playing the long game. A little snow and ice on the road while you come to work, then it adds up while there and you’re stuck. Since you’re here, maybe you can do a little more work

Tell me you can't tell if someone is joking without... you know the rest..

You know... The drivers are so bad... that its safer to drive on a road covered with ice than with bad drivers.. It wasn't meant to be literal. Yet I am the dumbass..

We’ve let our employees know normal protocol. If you can’t come to work, you need to take PTO. You don’t just get a ‘free day’ off.

Our essential people can find a way to get here, so can you or feel free to use your PTO.
