Seemed like the obvious landing spot day 1, then seemed less and less so throughout the process. Great get by the Bears.
Guess this leaves the Jags to hire Cohen
No idea on the raiders. Bill you sure you want to coach college?

Not surprised...figured it'd be CHI or LV. gonna be an interesting with what he does with that team. Otherwise, glad he was part of the Lions turnaround the last few years.

Ben Johnson has been busy assembling a star-studded coaching staff. The leading candidate to become his defensive coordinator in Chicago is former Saints HC Dennis Allen, per league sources.
Schefty

Crazy choice imo.
Was pretty much the best choice that was available.
Bears have a really talented young roster with lots of cap space

Guess this means the Raiders plan b of Pete Carroll is most likely now.

is Caleb Williams really the best QB that Johnson could've coached next season?

Just depends who you think is more fixable between him and Lawrence I think (if you’re just going by qb)

Dak would have probably been the best QB technically but their offensive roster is limited and Jerruh Jones is annoying as shite.
Trevor Lawrence was the original prince that was promised and has looked pretty average over the last 4 years.
Caleb Williams is the other "all timer prospect" and he just came off a pretty good rookie season with a completely fricked up coaching situation.
I'd rather have Caleb Williams for 3 more years on a rookie deal then TLaw at 50 mill a year looking mehhh
Bears have top 5 talent on the offensive side of the ball. Definitely best place for him to go IMO

Ehh. Goff was in a very similar place and he had him playing at a much higher level for several years. If you think those guys have equivalent talent then you’re probably ok taking your shot.

People view Caleb through a skewed lens. He was much better than Trevor Lawrence this year.

It's always a crapshoot when an x's and o's coach goes somewhere that needs extensive culture change. We think we have it bad here in NOLA; that's nothing compared to the Bears. They have been a joke for well over 10 years. They needed a Dan Campbell type to change the attitiude. We'll see if Johnson can be that guy.

Good. My Saints are a gigantic shite hole and deserve it.

Pete Carroll for the Raiders? Dunno if he'd want that mess at his age.
