the tax? I just have a feeling if Griff gets low balled again, he will sit on him and see if his price goes down in free agency.

Shamit quoted Bobby Marks a few weeks back saying we can dump some minimum deals and get under. That doesn’t match my math but Marks knows the cap and contracts, and it does match the deal penny pinching moves we’ve seen like cutting Matt Ryan and dumping Elfrid. So in theory there may be a no major moves path to get under the tax.

Honestly, the repeater tax doesn't matter because this team is a bubble team until they move Zion. He will never lead a team to a conference championship, so it's just Gayle's money. It won't affect anything meaningful.
