I could be very wrong but there is absolutely nothing about KK that is appealing. His offenses aren’t even that good, he’s had massive failure at every head coaching position he’s had. I truly don’t get the appeal with him.

I don't know about massive failure.

Arizona...
2018 (year before KK): 3-13
2019: 5-10-1
2020: 8-8
2021: 11-6 (playoffs)
2022: 4-13

2022 is certainly concerning, but as I said last night, shanahan flopped in year 4 too.

What makes 2022 concerning is it makes 2021 look like the outlier. If I recall correctly, he was the play caller for AZ (and is for Wash); yet for the most part his point production was outside the top 10 until he had Daniels. And 3 of his 5 years had a top 10 offense in yards but never cracked top 5.

2019: 21st (yds), 16th (pts)
2020: 6th (yds), 13th (pts)
2021: 8th (yds), 11th (pts)
2022: 20th (yds), 21st (pts)
2024: 7th (yds), 5th (pts)

I see him being more of a Josh McDaniels type of guy. Does fairly well as an OC, and really shines with an elite QB. But will be a middle of the pack, or worse, guy as the HC.

Also the fact that he had a losing record 4 out of his 6 seasons in college still makes me wonder how he made the jump to the NFL. He did not improve them from the Mike Leach/Tommy Tuberville years.

Now that Dallas is looking like it’s going to bail on McCarthy, you gotta add him to the list as well

We'll see tomorrow if an interview get's scheduled.

Nevermind... lol
I have a sneaking suspicion that Jones will cave and give McCarthy whatever he wants before his contract expires though. (Unless McCarthy is asking for the moon and stars as an "Ok you want me to stay it's going to cost you type deal")

I'd bet pretty big on Glenn or McCarthy and give the field. I think McCarthy is the favorite if he's willing.

It's a list of official candidates. Once he gets an official interview planned I'll add him, until then he's just another hopeful. There are a few other I'd like to add to this list but as of yet they haven't formerly been contacted for an interview.

It has to be an offensive guy: Brady or Kingsbury right now.

Gruden, too, if there is interest.

I don't believe that is a must, though most of the candidates seem to be offensive coaches but arguably the top candidate is a defensive guy.

Mickey said in the presser that they weren't focusing on any particular side of the ball but looking for the best coach.

Looking at the trend, he may have to say that since the only 2 defensive guys he interviewed/scheduled, so far, both happen to be the only 2 candidates that he has interviewed/scheduled that fit the Rooney requirement.

From what I have seen this year I really like the imagination from KK this year. But look at...
Brady will pull more eleswhere
Glenn perhaps

Find the coach who was a first time HC then fired who went back to being a successful assistant coach.

Hire them!
