Bowl Games Thursday/Friday

Mid-January college football is crazy. These teams in final four would be playing 17 games; same as NFL. At a minimum they need to knock off the first round games and start with no more than eight teams. Season is long enough. Blending in with NFL playoffs not good.

Why not? You are upset that you get to watch playoff games on Thursday and Friday nights then you get to watch more playoff games on Saturday and Sunday?

i will never understand people complaining about having more of a sport they confess to love and not to mention the games being meaningful and keeping more teams in the running so regular season is still fun.

Of all the things to be upset about with the playoffs, the season lasting 10 days longer than before should not be one of them. More college football is the 1 thing everyone should agree is great about these playoffs, whether you like the format or not.

I agree on the top 8 teams by the eye test (not AP poll).
Are you going to convince me that a team ranked outside of the top 8 can beat a top 8 team three weeks in a row? I don't see this ever happening, so why play the game.

Sucks for the CFP that the majority of the games didn’t deliver this year. But people acting like this is going to happen every year are very short sighted IMO
so a couple of of the CFP games were blowouts this year…. Doesn’t mean it’s gonna be the same thing every year. Are you telling me a top 15ish team can’t hang in there with a top 5ish team? That’s crazy talk

It's basically a week longer than last year. The national championship was on the 8th in Houston. It probably should have been the 11th. I don't know why the teams had to come back in 7 days for the biggest game of the year, but it worked out for Michigan, so whatever.
