Counterfeit Clubs

I ordered QI10 from a seller on EBay. My golf coach was telling me today about fake clubs being sold on EBay. I haven’t received the club yet, but I’m concerned. Is there any sure fire was of knowing if a club is authentic? Anyone else have a similar issue?

eBay has you covered under its Buyer Protection. That said, by and large the majority of fake TM stuff these days has been the Temu P790 irons type from what I’ve seen

Did he ask you why you’d didn’t get fit?

It’s almost impossible to tell. In fact, I bet the majority of golfers wouldn’t even notice if they had fakes in the bag.

I’m starting to think you say the wrong thing every time you post on purpose. No one can be as wrong as you always are

I've done alot of buying off of eBay and it's never been an issue for me. I also typically stay away from low feedback sellers when it comes to golf clubs.
Bring it to a launch monitor as soon as you get it and get some numbers. If they're within your averages, then it's legit.

You guys have lost your collective minds if you think you can tell a difference from a good counterfeit club and a real one.

I’d be absolutely shocked if it did.

I fitted my bag and wife’s from eBay. Used only 2-3 high feedback sellers.

Which part of “hits like” was unclear?

Sorry. Misread that. Still don’t think that it’s super noticeable

I'm honestly scared to buy off eBay anymore unless the seller has 10K sales and a high review rating.

There are several YouTube videos on this exact thing. There wasn't much difference at all between real and fake TM P790 irons YouTube.
It was much more noticeable in the QI10 YouTube.

One vote against eBay. Was burned years ago by a dealer on there that sells thousands of clubs every year. Bought a brand new set of irons I had been wanting because they were the best price, used them for some months and they were just trash and super inconsistent. Figured they just weren't for me. Went to trade them in at Edwin Watts and were told they were fakes. That dealer had like 50k sales and advertised guaranteed authentic. I buy a lot off eBay, but I'll never buy another club off there.
Just quoting a post of mine from a few days ago.

Not sure about other brands, but my buddy bought a set of TaylorMade irons online. Same model as another friend and side-by-side, it’s pretty easy to tell.
Have you seen the Rick Shields video with the fake Stealth?

Second one is definitely the fake. Wrong torque screw is the dead giveaway. Also the face just looks fake.
