Tigers lose Trevor Schmidt & Trenton Lape to junior colleges before baseball season starts

LSU baseball first baseman and outfielder Trevor Schmidt and right-hander Trenton Lape have transferred to junior colleges ahead of the 2025 season, coach Jay Johnson confirmed to The Advocate Tuesday.
Schmidt, after committing to LSU in March while playing at Fullerton College, has returned to Fullerton. Lape has transferred to Chipola College.
Both players were with the Tigers this fall.

The original title just said Schmidt, making people think it was FR pitcher.
